Railway H type release valve is a safety feature used to stop railroad trains from being over-pressurized. If an accident or derailment occurs, it is intended to relieve pressure build-up. The power of the pressure build-up opens the valve, which is situated at the top of the railroad car. In doing so, the pressure can release and the vehicle won't blow up. The distributor valve's job is to disperse compressed air that has been received from the brake pipe to the control reservoir and auxiliary reservoir. Additionally, railway H type release valve detects a decrease and an increase in brake line pressure for the application and release of the brakes, respectively.
